Civic engagement programming creates opportunities for residents to connect with one another, to interact with elected officials, to participate in community activities, and develop a stronger sense of belonging and membership.
Case Study
The Community Services Foundation co-hosted one of the largest National Night Out gatherings in Prince George’s County Maryland. Nearly 500 visitors, including Congressman Glenn Ivey, attended the event. Residents had an opportunity to register for health and wellness resources, sports leagues, and even complete job applications. The event was a constructive opportunity to continue to build bridges with our public safety partners and local elected officials.
