In partnership with SECU Credit Union of Maryland, the Community Services Foundation sponsored an eight-week financial literacy class to help seniors protect their personal finances. Financial exploitation of seniors can involve a host of characters that include digital predators as well as family members. In response to ongoing concerns in the greater Washington, DC area targeting seniors, the Community Services Foundation partnered with one of the leading credit unions in the area to help seniors build knowledge, skills, and abilities to recognize financial scams before they impact the quality of life for our seniors. Financial fraud targeting seniors is costly and can impact their ability to age safely in place.
