Impact Pillar: Youth Development
Community Services Foundation's youth-development work extends beyond tutoring and enrichment. It is designed to help young people see a pathway from academic achievement to postsecondary education and ultimately to economic independence.
Case Study
We took over 60 high school teens to the annual Washington, DC, Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU) College Fair, providing early awareness about scholarship opportunities, programs of study, and opportunities to talk directly to admissions and financial aid officers.
Community Services Foundation students received over $60,000 in conditional scholarship offers to help cover the costs of their college studies. These offers represent a significant milestone for the students and their families—and demonstrate the impact of our work to help working-class families meet their goals and aspirations.
